Brent's earliest attempts at playing what he always loved most, 70's psychedelic rock, were manifested in a project called the Blood Vessels, years prior to "Crack The Skye". It is unclear whether the Blood Vessels is finished or it's only in hiatus for the moment. The project itself was never as active as Brent's other bands, like Fiend Without A Face, West End Motel, or even the now defunct, Four Hour Fogger; as they didn't release anything at all, except for two demo tracks, 'I Was Gonna Do It', which was later transformed into a Mastodon song ('Pendulous Skin'), 'Bite', and three other tracks that have been only played live (see the videos below).
